It was 8:00am,
half an hour before school started, on a cold Friday when all the boys in grade
6 made up a game called Raptor Juke. This game is all about tackle and very
dangerous where at least 10 people got hurt in the first 15 minutes we played.
I was lucky enough not to be the tagger or else I probably would have been on
the brink of death. We had been playing for so long, the cold had got right into my bones
when I was saved by the school bell.
I felt relieved to be ending the game, although I wouldn’t admit that to
anyone.
